The third, final, stage of competitions for the title of the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew of Transneft took place on Transneft Central Siberia site in Tomsk on August 3-4, 2016.
Oil pipeline transport employees are obliged to be ready to quick response to possible emergencies. To this end, Transneft affiliates regularly hold emergency response drills. The professional competition for the title of the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew is held annually, to check training of personnel and to improve the skills of handling fire equipment.
In the current year, 16 teams from 18 Russian regions took part in Stage 3 of the competitions: Transneft Urals, Transneft East, Transneft Siberia, Transneft North, Transneft Druzhba, Chernomortransneft, Transneft Far East, Transneft Volga Region, Transneft Upper Volga, Transneft – Kozmino Port, Transneft Western Siberia, Transneft Kama Region, Transneft Baltic, Transneft Primorsk Port, Middle Volga Transnefteproduct, and Transneft Central Siberia.
The competition participants showed a good theoretical training, overcome a 100-meter assault course, passed a fire relay race in 4-person groups and also showed the skill of deployment of equipment from a fire vehicle.
After the two-day competitions, the title of the Best Volunteer Fire Brigade Crew of Transneft in the team category was assigned to Transneft Siberia team A diploma and a cup were given to it. Transneft Central Siberia came in close second, Transneft East representatives were the third.
