Transneft Central Siberia together with Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) have launched the Agents of the Future online educational module. The project was presented to the teaching staff from Tomsk Region in TPU.

The project is an online system of early career guidance for schoolchildren, which is based on a gaming simulation technology. Its goal is to increase the popularity of exact sciences and engineering disciplines. With the help of the module, schoolchildren from different settlements of Tomsk Region will be able to study online. The project is designed for 9- to 11-graders.

Transneft Central Siberia specialists have developed a training game "Oil transportation. The trunk pipeline", aided by the designers of the educational platform. The game demonstrates all the stages from the construction of an oil pipeline to the launch of oil transportation.

“It is essential to develop interest in such subjects as physics, chemistry, computer science and mathematics among schoolchildren. The Agents of the Future platform will serve as a good tool for this purpose,” stressed Yelena Vtorina, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of Tomsk Region.

The Company actively cooperates with educational institutions of Tomsk Region. In 2017, Transneft launched a programme to facilitate the development of school education in order to improve the quality of teaching exact sciences to children in small towns and rural settlements. Up-to-date classrooms for studying physics, chemistry and mathematics will appear in 13 schools of the region thanks to the funding provided by the Company.
