Transneft Central Siberia has undergone a comprehensive audit of its environmental management system (EMS), energy management system (EnMS) and occupational health management system (OHMS) upon compliance with international standards.
The assessment of the management systems implemented at the Company was performed by specialists of Russian Register, an audit company. Experts assessed the level of compliance of Transneft Central Siberia’s management systems with the requirements of the following international standards: ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 50001: 2011, OHSAS 18001: 2007. The Company’s successful experience in reducing the costs of saving energy, improving working conditions and enhancing environmental efficiency was noted.
The auditors named performance of a thermovision inspection of administrative and operational buildings of the Company in accordance with the approved plan among the strong points of the energy management system. This allows to timely perform the necessary corrective measures and repairs to eliminate the buildings’ defects and thereby reduce the Company’s spending on heating. The auditors particularly noted systematic work on promoting the principles of energy saving for different target audiences.
Among the good practices of the OHMS, the auditors noted development and implementation of a Health Culture Programme, whose main objective is to prevent occupational diseases.
The committee also gave a positive opinion on the implementation of the environmental management system. Among the positive examples of the EMS, the auditors named the readiness of the Company’s personnel for possible emergencies. Emergency response drills are held at the Company in order to practice quick actions of the personnel.
Based on the results of the audit, all three internal corporate management systems of Transneft Central Siberia were recognised as complying with the international requirements in the field of operation of oil trunk pipeline transportation facilities and oil transportation. It was decided to extend the validity of certificates for Transneft Central Siberia’s management systems.
