Transneft Central Siberia Releases Valuable Fish Species into Tom River

Transneft Central Siberia has released some 28.5 thousand specimens of muksun juveniles into the Tom river.

The environmental event was held as part of industrial compensation measures. A committee comprised of representatives of Transneft Central Siberia, the Department for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Tomsk Region and the Upper Ob Territorial Directorate of the Federal Agency for Fishery, observed the release process.

Biological resources conservation in the rivers of Siberia, mitigation of adverse impact on the aquatic biological resources, preserving their living and replenishment environment in the areas of operation is a priority in the environmental efforts of Transneft Central Siberia.

Transneft Central Siberia has been continuously implementing diverse environmental events in all regions of its operation. More than 2.5 million juveniles have already been released into the water bodies of the Tomsk, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions, Altai Territory and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra over the past three years.
