The works were performed as part of the company's technical upgrading, revamping, and overhaul programme. The goal was to ensure safe operation of oil trunk pipelines.
During a scheduled shutdown of the oil trunk pipeline, Transneft Central Siberia specialists replaced a substandard section and disconnected the mainline pump at the Molchanovo oil pumping station (PS) for subsequent replacement. Four large-diameter gate valves were replaced and midlife repairs of six gate valves were performed.
Oil transportation was resumed in accordance with the schedule and is conducted under the normal protocol.
