Transneft Central Siberia Revamps Aleksandrovskoye – Anzhero-Sudzhensk Oil Trunk Pipeline Underwater Crossing

Date of publication: 16 April 2020

Transneft Central Siberia has completed revamping of the underwater crossing of the Aleksandrovskoye – Anzhero-Sudzhensk OTP across the Shudelka River in Tomsk Region.

During the reconstruction, a new 2.62 km stream-bed pipeline section was constructed.

Laying the pipeline was conducted using an enclosing ballasting device which prevents the pipeline from floating in watered areas. Warning and identification signs were installed.

The decision to revamp the OTP was made based on the results of an in-line diagnostic inspection of the pipeline and a periodic inspection of the underwater crossing.

The works were carried out in accordance with the technical upgrading and overhaul programme of Transneft Central Siberia in order to increase reliability of the Aleksandrovskoye – Anzhero-Sudzhensk oil trunk pipeline underwater crossings and minimise environmental risks of emergency oil spills into the water area of water courses of the Ob River basin.
