Transneft Central Siberia to Allocate Money to Renovate and Equip Schools in Tomsk Region

Eight schools in Tomsk Region will receive support from Transneft Central Siberia to fit out state-of-the-art classrooms in 2019. During 2017 and 2018, five schools of the region were granted similar help.

For several years, Transneft has been rendering charitable support to educational institutions. In 2017, a major charitable programme of school education development was launched with the purpose to make teaching of STEM subjects in small towns and rural settlements more efficient.

13 schools of Tomsk Region will receive newly equipped classrooms from Transneft in the coming three years. This year, secondary schools in the settlements of Molchanovo, Narym and Chazhemto as well as four schools in the town of Strezhevoy will receive new modern equipment.

Math, chemistry and physics classrooms will be overhauled at these schools. Moreover, furniture, computers, teaching aids, interactive demonstration equipment and laboratory equipment will be purchased. More than 53.5 million roubles were allocated to the educational institutions to renovate and outfit the exact sciences classrooms.

In total, more than 79 million roubles have been spent on the implementation of Transneft’s corporate charitable programme of school education development in Tomsk Region over the past three years.
